no.01 - Allen

i'm thinking of starting a series of drawings called Milkyway Menaces, that are of a bunch of enemy designs and descriptions that I have created for the world of Saturn.

Anyway, this is Allen. The "Waddle Dee" or the "Goomba" of the game, the simplest of all enemies, that may come in different colors or holding different weapons. But, even though they're the most simple of all enemies, they do have an unique ability: They're able of hurting by touch. These are literally the only enemies of the game that actually hurts Saturn by touching in any place of its body. Any other enemy or they have an specific part that can hurt the player (like spikes on its back or something), or they need to perform an attack in order to give damage. This green one just walks around, doing nothing. But, some Allen sub-species can do other things as well. Like calling for spaceships to bring more of them, holding Saturn; trying to make him immobile, or running super-fast and being invincible while at it.

Allen pronounces the same way as you pronounce "Alien". They are one of the most common species on the Milkyway, most of them have a megalomaniac nature, something that is kind of ironic, considering that their small body parts doesn't have strength, and their thinking capabilites are more similar to general primates than men. In fact, they can't even talk, they can only communicate with other Allens through their antennas, and it's a very limited communication, only used to transmit feelings to one and another. They're more seen like pets and companions due to their cuteness and friendly looks.
